With each new Mazda model year comes something new to love about a Mazda and for the 2018 model year, that something new might just be the inclusion of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay into the infotainment system.

According to carbuzz.com, “Mazda has stated that phone mirroring compatibility would be on its way for the 2018 model year, and a new system that was codeveloped with Toyota would replace the current UI. Thanks to Australian outlet Car Advice, we may have some indication of Mazda’s plans for integrating Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.” The plan would be to integrate Android Auto and Apple CarPlay with the Mazda vehicles already equipped with MZD Connect, and the integration is said to be a seamless upgrade feature. However, it is still unclear how much that upgrade will cost, or when it will reach the Mazda vehicles in the United States.

But, here at Jim Ellis Mazda Atlanta, we are so excited for this much-anticipated addition to each Mazda’s infotainment system, and we can’t wait for the day when you can discover the improved experience for yourself.
