The 2018 Mazda CX-5 Brings Home an IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ Rating

There is already so much to love about the 2018 Mazda CX-5, but in matters of safety, IIHS gives you another reason to love it.

According to insidemazda.mazdausa.com, “the 2018 CX-5 was named as a ‘2018 Top Safety Pick+’ recipient, when equipped with the Adaptive Front-Lighting System built after March 2018, by the nonprofit Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.” In order to qualify, the Mazda CX-5 had to earn good ratings in several tests that on head restraints, roof strength, moderate overlap, front, side, and driver-side. It also needed to earn an advanced or superior front crash prevention rating and a good headlight rating. As of July 20, the 2018 Mazda CX-5 was the only small SUV to earn a Top Safety Pick + Rating.

Now, after working with these vehicles day in and day out, we at Jim Ellis Mazda Atlanta are not surprised at all by this rating and we can’t wait for you to experience the level of safety this small SUV can offer.
